Our bike library accepts bikes in any condition and any type. Whether your bike is gently used, in need of minor repairs, or beyond reconditioning, we welcome all donations. Bikes that cannot be fully refurbished are carefully stripped for reusable parts, with any unusable components being responsibly recycled. Every donation helps us provide essential transportation to individuals in need. Bikes can be dropped off at Crofthead Community Centre, Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM. Together, we can create a sustainable and inclusive cycling community! 🚲❤️
Beyond supporting individuals, donating bikes also benefits the environment. Every bike that is reused or refurbished reduces waste and the need for manufacturing new bicycles, helping to decrease the carbon footprint associated with creating and transporting new products. Bikes are a sustainable mode of transportation that minimizes pollution, traffic congestion, and the reliance on fossil fuels. By donating bikes, we promote a more eco-friendly, healthier lifestyle for communities. Moreover, bikes can be a tool for empowering sustainable living, as they provide a cost-effective way to navigate through urban and rural areas alike, all while contributing to the preservation of the planet.
